WIM: THE UPSIDEDOWN BOOK & THE UPSIDEDOWN MURAL

A project for the Fred Rogers Center for early learning and children's media.

For this project I revisited a series of pen & ink drawings for an Upsidedown Book project dating from the early 1970's. These drawings were part of a series of works I exhibited as "Imaging the Unseen".  With the transition from "pen in hand" to "pen in machine" these drawings, along with many others, lay dormant in my drawing cabinets.

For this project I scanned the originals at a very high resolution and composed a master set of digital files both for the book and the mural. This project merges some of the skills I acquired as an algorist with my earlier work as an artist with pen and ink in hand.
